What is Laughter Yoga? Laughter Yoga is a fun and unique form of exercise based on sound scientific fact.

The body cannot tell the difference between real and simulated laughter, so even when you fake it, you still get the health benefits in a very short time.

Laughter yoga combines deep yoga breathing exercises, stretching and relaxation with laughter exercises for maximum health benefits.

No need to rely on a sense of humour, no jokes or comedy are required. The laughter is unconditional, taking us out of the head and into the body.

This is a method that can be done anywhere. It's unconditional, non religious, non political, non judgemental and also a step away from the ego!

My Laughter Yoga Story....Kym Goodman

I first experienced Laughter Yoga when the Women’s Wellness group I am involved with decided to run a ‘fun and laughter’ day in Myrtleford, North East Victoria, Australia, in 2007. We invited a speaker to hold a Laughter Workshop for us. He explained the marvellous health benefits of laughter to us then ran us through a laughter session. Well, I just thought wow! It felt strange to be faking laughter but in no time we were laughing for real. It was fun and felt good to be laughing for no other reason than mucking about and playing like a kid. It was very liberating. I was left feeling terrific, very happy and light hearted. I couldn’t help myself, I was hooked and wanted to learn how to do this. I planned to start a Laughter Club in our town ASAP. Read More.
